Getting Started
Create an Account
You will have log on to edit or generate new pages, but not to browse. You can create an account and log on by following the link at the top right-hand corner of the page.
Create a new page
Search to see whether someone has written a similar page before you start one yourself. If not, you follow the "create this page" link. This will take you to the edit mode of the non-existing page, allowing you to construct it. Choose the title carefully!
When you create a page, you can file it into a category (see left column). For example, if you wanted to file your page in the 'Chaperone function' category, you would type [[Category: Chaperone Function]], at the bottom of your edit page. *note: you can add a category after the page is created, and you can file a page into more than one category.
Editing a page
If you are using firefox as your browser (newer versions of other browsers may also have this feature), you may find the buttons on top of the edit box to be helpful. They are shortcuts for "wiki text" so you don't need to know the language to format your pages. Linking pages together
While on the edit page, if you enclose the name of a page in double brackets [[Link title]], it will form an internal link to that page. You should also do this in reverse, so that both pages will link to each other. See the "what links here" button in the left column.
